About DDTM
Since the company’s inception in 2016, Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami (DDTM) has been shaking up classical dance culture in South Florida and beyond. Founded by former Miami City Ballet leading principal couple, Carlos Guerra and Jennifer Kronenberg, DDTM debuted to rousing critical acclaim, as a cutting edge, yet classically based contemporary ballet company.
Our young troupe continues to garner national recognition for a profound energy, athleticism, and electricity, as we offer audiences a vibrant and innovative ballet experience. Our collection of artists, paired with a bouquet of cultural collaborative pursuits, makes us especially unique in our distinct reflection of Miami and South Florida.
In addition to an ongoing residency and partnership with The Moss Center for the Performing Arts, DDTM is an inaugural cohort member of South Arts’ Momentum program. The company has also graced the stages of both The Joyce Theater (Summer Ballet Festival 2018) and Jacob's Pillow Inside/Out Summer Dance Festival (2018, 2019). The company is also an annual participant in the International Ballet Festival of Miami.
It is with great honor that Dimensions has recently furthered its mission to make world class dance accessible to all, by participating in The Kennedy Center’s “Arts Across America” live digital series.
Our Mission
To establish a professional ballet company in greater Miami that unites the community through affordable professional performances of the highest quality. We shall offer bold and innovative works which cultivate audiences for contemporary ballet, generate opportunities for local young artists, and allow us to develop engaging community outreach programs.
Our Vision
Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami seeks to connect with residents of South Florida and familiarize them with the ever evolving depth and relevance of the ballet art form; enriching their lives through accessible performances of the highest quality which emphasize ballet’s vast stylistic range and its significance as a part of American arts and culture.
The organization will foster and create professional opportunities for both local and performing artists from abroad. Local ballet students of an advanced pre-professional level will be offered educational and performance opportunities through an apprenticeship program which will allow them to collaborate and learn directly from experienced professionals. The resulting creations will be presented for the enjoyment and cultural advancement of the greater South Florida community.
Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami intends to interact with Miami’s youth by creating a variety of outreach programs including community youth classes in conjunction with particular performances, children & family educational presentations and demonstrations, and after-school workshop classes for public school students.
